New Teaching Block Welcomed

Parents were given an exclusive look at Healing School's new £3.6-million teaching block.

The investment has created 18 classrooms, a new library and other facilities in a state-of-the-art environment at the Low Road, Healing, school.

Principal Mark Knapton said: "Pupils and staff are really proud of the facilities that have been created and we wanted the community to see them at first hand."

"The informal opening included refreshments and tours led by our senior prefects and other pupils."

"Current and future parents were most impressed with the facilities."

The new block has been paid for by the Government's Academies' Capital Maintenance Fund, with work starting in July last year.
