Mince pies and carols were among the gifts handed out to grandparents at Healing School to thank them for their support.
Pupils treated their guests to a short concert, a quiz and a cup of tea in appreciation of the help given by family members in their schooling.
Principal Mark Knapton said the annual event was looked forward to by pupils as well as grandparents.
"It's a chance at a special time of the year to invite grandparents in to school to thank them for their important role, supporting parents in young people's upbringing," he said.
"The afternoon is appreciated by the grandparents and we have received some nice feedback.
"Our pupils also enjoy bringing a smile to their guests' faces and always look forward to showing them the school and what they're achieving."
