The secondary school performance league tables have recently been released and they endorse Healing’s excellent performance.
“We’re delighted that the Department for Education’s league table confirms Healing, once again, as a top-performing academy in North East Lincolnshire,” said Mrs Dewland (Principal).
“Our strong, above average Progress 8 score last year has increased further to 0.43. This measures the positive difference we have made to our pupils from when they started here to when they left.
“I am very proud of the students who achieved a terrific set of results in August and their teachers. Both coped admirably with the enormous changes to the grading system.
“An incredible 91% of our students achieved grade 4 – the equivalent of the former grade C - or higher in English.
“81% gained that level or better in English and maths and 51% a strong pass of grade 5 and above.
In comparison to other schools and Key Stage four providers, both locally and nationally, Healing continue to deliver sustained excellence within a broad and balanced curriculum, which is in line with Ofsted’s new priorities for 2019.
“Healing continues to be a consistently high-performing school across all the different measures.
“People should also reflect that it’s not just about results. This is an inclusive school which develops well-rounded individuals. Our commitment to extra-curricular activities such as sport, music and drama remains resolute.”
