Covid 19 Update

Please be advised that, in accordance with the most recent government guidance, although there is no longer a legal requirement for people with coronavirus (COVID-19) to self-isolate, if pupils have any of the main symptoms of Covid-19 or a positive test, public health advice is to stay at home and to avoid contact with other people. As this advice is pertinent to children and young people who attend an educational setting, the school asks that pupils do not attend school if they have with Covid-19 symptoms or following a positive test.

Pupils may no longer be infectious to others after 5 days and they are encouraged to take an LFD test from 5 days after symptoms started (or the day of the test if a pupil has no symptoms) followed by another LFD test the next day. If both these test results are negative, and your child does not have a high temperature, they may return to school. If a pupil’s day 5 LFD test result is positive, they can continue taking LFD tests until they receive 2 consecutive negative test results (24 hours apart). After 10 days, even if still testing positive, pupils may return to school, as long as they do not have a fever. As you will be aware, Government advice is subject to change at this time and any updates will be communicated to you accordingly.

Thank you for your support in keeping our school community safe.
